Konstantinos Papamichalopoulos was born in Athens in 1975. He studied art at the "School of Fine Arts" with Rena Papaspyrou and the technique of etching with Michalis Arfaras. In the academic year of 2012-2013 he participated in the Masters degree in Digital Arts at the School of Fine Arts''.

His work investigates the relationship between occidental and oriental art, the distinction between ‘high’ and ‘low’ as well as the appropriation of non-art by art. Recurrent themes include: Japanese motifs, the concept of the boundary, pop culture references and the impact of media on artistic practice and sensory perception. He is an interdisciplinary artist specialised in drawing, painting, 2D + printmaking, video, comics, photography, animation. He has exhibited nationally and internationally and has published various works.

He has long experience in illustration and cover art. In 2000 he published the comic-album titled "The Giaponas", then in 2009 "The Giaponas - Deuteronomy" and finally, "Squadron!" in 2011. In 2003, the Benaki Museum commissioned a portrait of Antonis Benaki. Since 2004 this artwork is exhibited to the permanent collections of the Benaki Museum. He has been honoured with an award from the Foundation Yannis and Zoi Spyropoulos.

His artworks are in both private and public collections in Greece and abroad.
