Centered in the heart of Athens, Los Loros offers colombian and venezuelan street food with arepas as a main dish. Chef Marko Rossi and food editor Maro Paraskevoudi is the dynamic combo behind this little place.

The main goal of the team is to offer homemade food with a gluten free menu, designed to please every customer – even the vegan one. Apart from arepas (pita bread made of 1005 corn), you can find patacons (made of plantain), salad and rice bowls which you can combine with 10 different fillings, such as crispy chicharron, mouthwatering pabellon, juicy mallandra and other recipes from the latin cuisine.

Don’t forget to try the empanadas – those little pies filled with homemade cheese, feta mix, shredded beef, minced beef with lime and coriander, pulled chicken and black beans with quinoa, the plantain chips (add extra guasacaka), the yuca (like sweet potato) and chicharrones (pop corn made of pork). For the daredevils, there are plenty of good rums and cocktails, like the all time classic Cuba Libre or the alternative Mate Libre. If you have a sweet tooth, try Bunuelo, since it will give you the perfect closure.
